Rich, jewel-toned and endlessly detailed, this wide bowl fades from plum purple at the rim through glowing red to a deep cobalt blue centre. Raised daisies in orange, sky blue, green, yellow and burgundy fill the border, with golden tulips and curling swirls rising between them. Fans of sky-blue sprays and a band of fine white lace lead inward to the heart of the bowl, where a white-outlined star, filled with red petals, sits on cobalt blue and is encircled by delicate white scrolls. The outside is a soft plum purple fading to red near the base, with turquoise flowers and tiny white dots, and a black rim frames the inside.
The pattern is painted in raised, textured detail, so you can see and feel every petal and dot. Every bowl in our collection is handmade and hand-painted in Turkey, and no two are alike. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, and you’ll receive the exact bowl shown in the photos.
At 30cm, it’s a generous centrepiece for a dining table, console or sideboard, and it also looks lovely on a shelf where the pattern can be admired from above. It makes a memorable gift for a housewarming, a wedding or anyone who loves handmade art. This is a decorative piece only.
