Working from the outside in, this large floral plate begins with a black outer rim and a vibrant tomato red border, alive with scarlet, poppy red, burnt orange and tangerine flowers. Next comes a wide ivory frame, scattered with delicate antique white paisley shapes and fine decorative outlines, which sets off the dark midnight navy centre like a gallery mount. Inside, cobalt and royal blue petals, turquoise and aqua diamond motifs, emerald, olive and lime leaves, and golden and mustard yellow flower centres glow against the dark background, with tiny touches of burgundy and plum.
Every plate in our collection is handmade and hand-painted, and no two are alike. This is a one-of-a-kind piece of art for your wall, and you’ll receive the exact plate shown in the photos.
At 50cm, it makes a commanding centrepiece for a feature wall above a sofa, sideboard, fireplace or bed. The bright ivory frame helps it stand out on darker walls as well as light ones. It can also be displayed on a large plate stand on a sideboard or console table (stand not included), and it makes an unforgettable gift for a housewarming, a wedding or anyone who loves handmade art.
